According to the July issue of Austin Monthly, Allandale is one of the 22 best neighborhoods/developments to live in Austin. For all of us living here, this is not news. Oriented for those shopping for the right neighborhood, the magazine provides a short profile on the more popular neighborhoods and developments in the city which includes quotes from residents. For Allandale, co-author Robyn Ross, gathered quotes from ANA President Cynthia Keohane: "Our Fourth of July parade is a 51-year tradition and a must-stop for local politicians," and Vice President, Peggy Maceo who talks about the friendliness of the neighborhood. Unfortunately, you will have to buy a copy of the magazine to read the article because they don't make their articles available on the web, but don't do it if you want to see a picture from the neighborhood, there isn't one.
